PhD in Chemical Engineering with emphasis on development of chemical and biotechnological processes by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Has been PhD internship on the Baden-Württemberg Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Bioenergy, at Hohenheim University (Germany) about antibiotics toxicity in anaerobic digestion process. Graduated in Industrial Chemistry and Master’s degree in Chemistry with emphasis on environmental analysis by Federal University of Santa Maria (Brazil). It is Research Analyst at The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), where develop activities at the Laboratory of Biogas Studies. Currently holds the President position (2019-2021) of the Brazilian Society of Agricultural and Agroindustrial Waste Management (Sbera). It is member of the Directive Board of Biodigesters Network for Latin America and the Caribbean (RedBioLAC) where he coordinates the laboratory working group. It has experience in environmental analytical chemistry and biotechnological processes, mainly focus on strategies for treatment of agricultural and agroindustrial waste, specially through anaerobic digestion and biogas recovery.
